What is Dinner Plans?

Dinner Plans is the answer to the challenge of serving healthy, affordable, tasty entrées when time is limited.  In less than 2 hours, you will prepare 8-12 ready to cook entrees, take them home, freeze them and use them at your convenience.  We take care of the grocery shopping, chopping, slicing and clean-up.

We are located at 4659 Dressler Road N.W. in Thursdays Plaza behind the Macaroni Grill. 

What type of people use Dinner Plans?

Dual-working families, stay at home moms, single parents, empty nesters, singles, college students, newlyweds and retirees can benefit from Dinner Plans.  It is also a great gift idea for senior citizens, someone that has an illness in their family and new mothers.  Dinner Plans Delivery provides home-cooked entrées and helps relieve the stress of dinner. 

What food choices do you offer?

Each month we offer 13 entrée choices that are kid-friendly.  We also offer one dessert each month so when you are making dinner for company or a friend you can compliment the entrée with a dessert.  Each month we will change the menu.  There are a variety of cooking methods including stove top, oven, crock-pot and grill.

Are Dinner Plans entrées healthy?

Yes, they are not only delicious, but also healthy.  We calculate all important nutrition information such as calories, fat, sodium and weight watchers points.  We accommodate a variety of diets such as gluten-free and low sodium.  We are able to provide healthy & delicious meals by using superior ingredients like restaurant-quality meats, poultry and seafood, which are a grade above what you can buy in the grocery store.  We use real flavorings, juices, extracts and often choose fresh herbs over dried.  We also use fresh, local fruits and vegetables whenever possible and do not add any preservatives during the assembly process. 

Additionally, our meals are more nutritionally balanced than other meal options, especially when you choose our à la carte side dishes to accompany your entrées.  

According to the National Health Study of Americans, the average American eats approximately 2,200 calories and 85.6 grams of fat per day.  In comparison, one serving of a dinner plans entrée averages 315 calories and 12 grams of fat per serving.  This is 57% lower in calories than the average American consumers per meal and 55% less in total fat consumed per meal. 

 

These numbers show, that with proper portion control, dinner plans can help you significantly reduce your daily intake of calories and fat, while enjoying delicious and satisfying meals.

What if I cannot eat or do not like certain ingredients listed under a particular menu item?

We accommodate a variety of diets such as gluten-free and low sodium.  Customers may alter their entrées as they see fit, with the exception of the primary meat, poultry or fish ingredient.  If you don’t like onions, simply leave them out.  If you are on a nutrition plan, reduce the amount of oil.  It’s up to you.  In fact, we often see customers preparing and packaging a single portion separately for a discriminating eater at home.  If you have a specific request, please call the store and we can talk about options on customizing your meals.
